Why is the document the paid part?

Because it is the part with real cost and real value. Keeping a log helps you whether or not you ever pay; producing the record you send to the Trust is the moment it is worth something. Putting the warnings behind a paywall would mean the people most at risk are the ones who do not get told.

What happens if I cancel?

Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then the account returns to the free plan. Your moorings are not deleted — you keep logging, you just lose the export until you subscribe again.

Is it per boat or per person?

Per account. If you have more than one boat, tell us and we will sort something sensible out rather than charging you twice.

Do I need it if I have a home mooring?

Probably not for the 14-day rule, which applies to boats without one. The renewal reminders still apply to you, and those are free.
